Currencies are on move, what’s next in the markets?
STOCKS – European stocks fell the most in a week, while German government bonds rose with gold and the yen after explosions rocked Brussels airport. US stock index futures pointing to a lower Wall Street opening bell.
BONDS – Yields on Germany’s 10-year bonds dropped five basis points to 0.18 percent, while those rate on similar-maturity U.S. Treasuries fell three basis points to 1.88 percent.
COMMODITIES – Wheat in Chicago rose 0.4 percent, gaining for a third day on colder-than-expected weather in the U.S. Plains growing region.
CURRENCIES – The yen jumped 0.5 percent versus the dollar, after earlier losing as much as 0.2 percent, and the euro retreated for a third day.
