STOCKS – European stocks were little changed, following the biggest two-day gain since April, as investors awaited cues from central banks. U.S. index futures and Asian shares were also little changed.
 
BONDS –  Treasuries were the best-performing sovereign debt market during the past month after accounting for currency gains as investors sought alternatives to Europe’s record-low yields.
COMMODITIES – Gold fell for a fourth day in London as a stronger dollar cut demand. Platinum slipped to a two-month low in the longest run of declines in six years.
 
CURRENCIES – The dollar strengthened to an 11- month high versus the euro before the Federal Reserve releases the minutes of its July meeting, amid speculation policy makers are moving toward raising borrowing costs.
ECONOMIC DATA – CAD Wholesale Sales m/m due at 8:30, Crude Oil Inventories at 10:30, FOMC Meeting Minutes at 14:00, CNY HSBC Flash Manufacturing PMI at 21:45 ET.
