The Week Ahead in the Global Markets

The Trading Room

The S&P 500 rallied 1.09% on Wednesday following the Fed’s no-rate hike and Chair Yellen’s comments during the Q&A.  The bond and metals market also gained while the US dollar sold-off. The week kicks off with Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump’s first of three US presidential debates at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, on Monday night.  An ABC News/Washington Post survey released on Sunday showed almost three in four Americans plan to watch the debate, making it one of the most watched television events in US history.  We have a busy economic calendar through out the week, finishing with NFP employment data on Friday.
