WORLD HEADLINES - Stock market gains came to a grinding halt on Thursday, held back by concern that China will be left behind as the United States reaches trade agreements with other North American countries and Europe.

STOCKS - The Shanghai Composite Index slid 0.9 percent and Hong Kong’s Hang Seng fell 0.8 percent.BONDS - Treasuries traded sideways during the overnight trading session.

COMMODITIES - Brent crude futures extended gains and was up 0.35 percent to $77.40 per barrel. U.S. crude futures climbed 0.37 percent to $69.77 per barrel. 

CURRENCIES - The British pound extended its gains against the euro after recording its biggest gain in seven months on Wednesday. The gains came as EU's Michel Barnier signaled a more accommodative stance toward London in ongoing talks.

ECONOMIC DATA - CAD GDP m/m  and US Personal Spending m/m due at 8:30, Natural Gas Storage at 10:30, CNY  Manufacturing PMI at 21:00 ET.
