STOCKS – European stocks and US stock futures were little changed, erasing earlier gains, before a European Central Bank meeting at which investors expect President Mario Draghi to announce quantitative-easing measures.
BONDS – Treasuries fell for a second day and Japan’s bonds tumbled amid concern the European Central Bank will disappoint investors.
COMMODITIES – Oil traded close to $50 a barrel in London amid speculation that the ECB will commit to a quantitative-easing program.
CURRENCIES – The euro fluctuated as investors weighed the scale and form of anticipated sovereign- debt purchases that may be announced by the ECB.
