Pre-market price action and scheduled economic data that may have an impact on the global financial markets:

STOCKS –  Global stocks rose on Wednesday after surprisingly upbeat Chinese trade data offered hope Asia’s biggest economy is finally stabilising, fuelling risk appetite. Futures on the Standard & Poor’s 500 Index rose as investors awaited earnings from JPMorgan Chase & Co.

BONDS – Treasuries extended a three-day drop before the U.S auctions $20 billion of debt due in 2026. The yield on the 10-year securities was at 1.79 percent, after adding nine basis points in the previous three days.

COMMODITIES – Copper rose 1.2 percent, leading industrial metals higher after China, the world’s biggest consumer, boosted foreign purchases to an all-time high.

CURRENCIES –  The dollar advanced against most of its major peers before reports on Wednesday that economists forecast will show U.S. economic growth remains intact.

ECONOMIC DATA – US Retail Sales and PPI due at 8:30, CAD BOC Rate Statement at10:00, Crude Oil Inventories at 10:30, BOC Press Conference at 11:15, US 10-y Bond Auction at 13:01, AUD Unemployment Rate 21:30 ET.
