>> BONDS – Spanish bonds fell, with 10-year yields reaching a two-week high, amid speculation domestic banks are reducing their holdings of the securities before the European Central Bank reviews their balance sheets next year.

>> COMMODITIES – Natural gas rose to the highest level in more than two years in New York as U.S. inventories declined amid lower temperatures. Investors increased bets on rising prices.
