WORLD HEADLINES – European stocks fell following a mixed session in Asian markets, while U.S. futures fluctuated as investors weighed the latest developments in efforts to overhaul tax in the world’s largest economy.
STOCKS – The Stoxx Europe 600 declined as a slump in industrial metals dragged mining shares lower and investors continued to rotate from technology stocks. Futures on the S&P 500 Index declined ahead of the Wall Street opening bell.
BONDS – The yield on 10-year Treasuries gained one basis point to 2.38 percent. Germany’s 10-year yield fell two basis points to 0.32 percent.
COMMODITIES – Copper fell 2.2 percent to $3.02 a pound, the lowest in two months.
CURRENCIES – The greenback retreated and the euro pared losses as indicators showed economic momentum accelerated to its fastest pace in over six years in November.
ECONOMIC DATA – US Trade Balance and CAD Trade Balance due at8:30, ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI at 10:00, AUD GDP q/q at 19:30 ET.
